We believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to a healthy lifestyle. Successful eating plans need to be individualized and take the whole person into consideration. Prior to starting a new diet plan, consult with your healthcare provider or a registered dietitian, especially if you have an underlying health condition.

Breakfast

Breakfast.  The most important meal of the day.

How you start your day has  a profound impact on how the rest of your day will be.  If you start your day with a quiet meditiation, then a good, healthy breakfast, this is a GREAT start to a good, productive day.  Your next meal has a much greater chance to be healthy.  You have a better chance to resist the donuts or muffins at the office or coffee shop.

However, if you start the day with NO breakfast, just a sweet coffee beverage, or coffee and a sweet treat, then the chances of eating healthy at lunch decline greatly.  Your body will want more sugar.  Your resistance to the urge will be minimal.  You may have already had a second sweet treat before lunch even arrived.

And, the rest of the day will continue in decline of healthy options.

But, for those who are hoping to gain better control of their diets and drop weight, it's better to set smarter, more balanced breakfast habits first thing in the morning.
